Growing up in the Bavarian town of Bamberg, Walter Krines discovered his passion for fashion at an early age.With his unconventional designs and his love for sophisticated details, about 25 years ago he accomplished to move to Berlin, to him the most exciting city in Germany. His credo is simple: ‘I love women and I want them to feel happy, confident and unique in my clothes. I never follow the latest trend in fashion but create according to my own individual vision’.
He later opened two stores here in Berlin, one located on the most famous shopping mile, Friedrichstraße, the other on the elegant Kurfürstendamm. In spring 2009 a third store was opened in Schwerin Schloßparkcenter.In 1999 Walter Krines presented the first collection at the IGEDO fashion fair in Düsseldorf which was a huge success. Since then the label had found a large crowd of followers all over the world.
Despite his international success Walter Krines has remained true to Berlin. Walter Krines and his team work in spacious rooms in Berlin Kreuzberg, where the designs for the collections start and custom made garments are being sewn for his own stores. The name of the company location is part of the logo KRINES BERLIN. This is where Walter Krines is at home, where the company is located and here in this exciting, thriving and very individual city lies the source of his inspiration.
